BBC Radio 3’s Friday Night is Music Night is all about melody and tonight at Fairfield Halls conductor Helen Harrison and the BBC Concert Orchestra have their feet planted in the streets and fields of British folksong. All the music has one thing in common – you can’t help humming those tunes!
Two of the BBC Concert Orchestra's brightest stars Ileana Ruhemann and Anne Denholm play Mozart’s enchanting Flute and Harp Concerto. There’ll be tuneful delights by Ruth Gipps, Hoagy Carmichael and John Williams, too - presented with style (and a smile) by jazz legend Clare Teal.
BBC Statement:
As not everyone who asks for tickets uses them we send out more tickets than there are places. This means that admission is on a first come first served basis and is not guaranteed. Also, some audience members do arrive earlier than our ticket times. It is unusual for us to have to refuse entry to ticket holders, but when we do please note that there will be no compensation for any costs incurred in getting to us.
