Dance School Auditions are being held at ‘Fairfield Halls’, Croydon on Friday 7th July @ 4pm - Come and join Brit School alumni Kiera Nicole
UK Productions and Fairfield Halls are on the hunt for local Dance Schools for this year’s enchanting pantomime Aladdin, which will play at the Ashcroft Theatre from 16 Dec 2023 – 07 Jan 2024.
Starring EastEnders’ Davood Ghadami as ‘Aladdin’, Milkshake! Favourite, Croydon local, and Brit School graduate Kiera-Nicole as ‘Princess Jasmine’ and panto favourite Charlie Guest as ‘Wishee Washee’, with further principal roles to be announced.
Auditions for the Principal Ensemble are taking place at Fairfield Halls on Friday 7 July from 5.30pm (Dancers to arrive at 5pm for a warm up). Dancers are sought who are aged 16 and older, have completed their GCSE’s, with a high standard of ballet and jazz, and who are available to start rehearsals from Monday 4 December 2023. These Principal Ensemble Dancers may be required to cover principal roles and must be available for the whole run from 16 December 2023 – 7 January 2024.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: -
Juvenile Chorus
- Dance schools should be able to provide at least 12 students to audition. We are not holding individual auditions for the children, This audition is for Dance Schools to submit a team to audition, We will select two schools to provide one team of 8 children each.
- A high standard of both ballet and jazz is required.
- The age range is approximately 7 to 11 years.
- The performer must be NO TALLER than 4 ft 8 inches.
- Teachers/Parents will be required to complete licence application forms for children for submission to local authority by UK Productions – Instructions will be sent to successful schools
- Dance schools will be required to provide their own registered chaperones 2 per rehearsal/show (usually parents) with an up-to-date chaperone licence.
- Students must be available to start rehearsals from Monday 4th December 2023 and must be available for the full schedule of each teams required performances and until the pantomime closes on Sunday 7th January 2024
- Please ensure a representative from your school is in attendance on the audition day to learn the routine with the children.
- Please note no fees are payable
- Please ensure you have chaperones to look after children whilst waiting
