More than 68,000 people have flocked to Fairfield Halls, Croydon over the past six months to attend conferences, exhibitions, performances, and events with a packed programme of music, musical, cultural and comedic events still to come over the next six months.
Following a strong spring season with acts including Coleen Nolan, the London Mozart Players, Frankie Boyle and Nabil Abdulrashid, the second half of the year has an eclectic mix of comedy, music, and live performances, hosting stars such as John Bishop, Rhod Gilbert, Jimmy Carr, 10cc and Rick Wakeman.
Cultural events include performances from the Multi Story Orchestra, Chineke! Junior Orchestra, RUSH – A Joyous Jamaican Journey, and an Imperial Classical Ballet performance of Swan Lake.
Family events also take a key place in the 2024 line-up, with highlights such as Tom Fletcher’s There’s A Monster In Your Show and Steve Backshall’s Ocean. Fairfield’s annual pantomime will also return, with curtains lifting on Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs in December 2024.
As well as entertainment and shows, the venue is also hosting a series of orchestral rehearsals and recordings, conferences, exhibitions, and hospitality events *note not included in event listings below*. Furthermore, Fairfield Halls is home to the Yamaha Music School which each week, welcomes hundreds of local young people who are learning to play a variety of instruments and sing.
Companies in residence at Fairfield Halls include Talawa, SAVVY Theatre Company, and London Mozart Players who also have a programme of rehearsals and performances throughout the year.
Fairfield Halls also works in partnership with Croydon’s internationally acclaimed BRIT School throughout the year to host showcases, performances, and hire out rehearsal spaces to showcase young local talent. BRIT School alumni include local Croydon superstar RAYE as well as international superstars such as Adele, Tom Holland, Jessie J, and the late Amy Winehouse.
